ByYQ was founded by educator and author Yobe Qiu after she noticed a lack of inclusive children’s stories centered on Lunar New Year. Her first book, Our Lunar New Year, sparked a mission to create stories that reflect the beauty and diversity of Asian cultures.

Through heartfelt storytelling and relatable characters, ByYQ helps children feel seen, heard, and proud of who they are, building a world where every culture belongs on the page.
