ByYQ was founded by educator and author Yobe Qiu, who began writing after noticing a gap in inclusive stories about Lunar New Year. Her first book, Our Lunar New Year, sparked a mission to create children’s books that reflect the beauty and diversity of Asian cultures. Through heartfelt stories and relatable characters, ByYQ helps children feel seen, heard, and proud of who they are—building a world where every culture has a place on the page.
