Celebrating heritage through art and storytelling

Anna Wong feels doubly happy and doubly lucky to be both Chinese and American. An ABC who grew up attending Saturday Chinese school, she speaks what she calls “fluent Cantonese—with a touch of Chinglish.” Her books began as a passion project to share Chinese culture with her fourteen nieces and nephews and to inspire pride amid rising anti-Asian sentiment. Blending her design background with her love of storytelling, Anna celebrates heritage through joyful illustrations that reveal the beauty and symbolism in everyday Chinese traditions.
