Keiki Kaukau

Playful learning inspired by Hawai‘i’s “mixed-plate” culture

Founded by former teacher and mom April, Keiki Kaukau was born from a simple realization: Hawai‘i’s rich, multicultural food traditions weren’t represented in children’s toys. Inspired when her son played with a French crepe set, April set out to create wooden play foods, puzzles, and books that reflect the islands’ diverse flavors—from musubi to shave ice. Each product celebrates local culture through play while supporting Hawai‘i’s keiki, with a portion of sales donated to the Hawai‘i Foodbank and youth programs.
